EKSTER® was founded in Rotterdam, inspired by a bird called the “Magpie”, also known as an '“Ekster”in the Netherlands. 'Magpies are often referred to as "thieving magpies" due to their tendency to track down shiny objects' such as jewelry and coins.

Our personal struggles with the products offered in the market today, motivated us to develop this trackable wallet. There are several pains and trends in the market that inspired us to design the ultimate wallet with a look at the future. Security issues, bulky wallets, NFC payments and too much fidgeting are all reasons why we decided to make a change in this industry.
